Get answers to common questions about ComplianceAide.
Does ComplianceAide replace auditors or accredited assessors?
+
No. The platform handles readiness, evidence preparation, control mapping, policy drafting and reporting. Certification and third-party attestation stay with accredited auditors and C3PAOs — we get you defensibly ready for them.
Will the output hold up with a C3PAO or auditor?
+
ComplianceAide produces expected assessment artifacts including an SSP, POA&M, evidence mapped to each objective, and a readiness report, with all claims tied to your evidence and approved by a team member. We get you defensibly ready; the formal pass/fail determination is made by your C3PAO or auditor, not by us.
How does HIPAA work with ComplianceAide?
+
A BAA (Business Associate Agreement) is available for HIPAA covered entities and is signed before any PHI is processed. The platform recommends redacting PHI in readiness evidence where possible. Contact us regarding BAA terms before loading regulated data.
Where does my evidence live, and do you train AI on it?
+
Evidence resides in tenant-isolated workspaces on Microsoft Azure (US regions), encrypted in transit and at rest. We never train models on your evidence, and a BAA is available for HIPAA covered entities.
Do I need integrations to start?
+
No integration project is required to start. Begin with uploads, answers, notes, and documents, or connect via your MSP's RMM. Enterprise tenants can use single sign-on and provisioning against Microsoft Entra ID.
Do you support FedRAMP?
+
ComplianceAide maps to FedRAMP and similar control sets for preparation purposes. That is mapping coverage to get you ready, not a platform FedRAMP authorization. Check current platform authorization status with us.
Is ComplianceAide a procurement-ready vendor?
+
Yes. We are a US Delaware corporation registered and active on SAM.gov with CAGE Code 20L56 and UEI NWX6B48RJVM4, and we're transactable on Microsoft Azure Marketplace. We accept purchase orders and Net-30 invoicing.
What does it cost after the trial?
+
Plans start at $4,800/year per workspace (one company or one client tenant), with unlimited internal users, assessments, evidence, reports, frameworks and artifacts. Multi-client and volume pricing is available through procurement consultation.
How long will the assessment take?
+
Usually we ask for 24 hours, but if urgent we can complete it in 4 hours. The timeline depends on the complexity of your environment and the frameworks you're assessing against.
What do I need before I start?
+
Please have: current cybersecurity policies, IT infrastructure details, any security documents (including screenshots from security platforms), security policies, and network details. This helps us tailor the best compliance package for your needs.
What if I don't have security documents?
+
No worries! We will send you a simple questionnaire to complete. We'll then use this as evidence and create your policies. ComplianceAide makes it easy to get started even if you're starting from scratch.
Am I guaranteed to be certified after completing the questionnaire?
+
Completing the questionnaire is essential, but certification depends on meeting all compliance standards. ComplianceAide provides the documentation you need to become compliant, but you'll need to work with a certified auditor to get certified. ComplianceAide reduces the time an auditor needs by up to 80%.
What if I don't know some answers?
+
No problem! ComplianceAide offers 24/7 support and policy assistance via our AI agent to help you find the answers you need. Just ask the platform and get guidance whenever you need it.
How long do I have to answer the questions?
+
You will have access to the platform for 12 months to complete the questionnaire and assessment at your own pace.
Can multiple people log in simultaneously?
+
Yes! Multiple users can log into ComplianceAide simultaneously, allowing your team to collaborate efficiently. Need help setting up additional accounts? Our support team can assist you.
What happens if I lose platform access?
+
If you don't complete the questionnaire within 12 months, your access to ComplianceAide will be removed and you will need to apply and pay again. It's important to download your work before access expires.
Is my application data saved if I lose access?
+
No. For data sovereignty and compliance adherence, ComplianceAide does not store your data permanently. You should download the compliance spreadsheet, any generated policies, and alignments (HTML files) to a local drive before logging off the platform.
How does AI help ensure accuracy?
+
AI is no different from asking two auditors the same question and getting slightly different answers. We mitigate this through good prompt engineering and context engineering. Our AI-first approach separates us from companies that simply use AI to enhance workflows—it's our core.
How does ComplianceAide help MSPs?
+
Many MSPs find compliance assessments slow and expensive. ComplianceAide enables MSPs to use information they already have from existing platforms and use this as evidence. No additional manpower or specific expertise required. Onboarding takes just 20 minutes—meaning you can conduct an assessment and deliver all documentation within hours of getting access.
